Josh's Take
This 17' canoe is a fast boat. In calm water, it can be paddled 4.6 mph at a comfortable pace. Race pace will likely be higher. It weighs in at around 65lbs, has nice plastic handles in the bow and stern for portaging, and, in true AR fashion, sports duct-tape seats in the front and rear to repair the dry-rotted wicker ones that the previous owner had.
It rides low in the water, so is stable in high winds. But because of the positioning of the cross-beams, requires the middle person to sit either right behind the person in the front or slightly in the back of the canoe's midpoint.
